Support Request: SiteKiosk Classic custom Taskbar 25 devices

Description

Hello Support Team,
I hope you're doing well.
We are currently working on a project involving 25 devices using SiteKiosk Classic, and we would like to clarify a few customization options before proceeding.
Is it possible to change the default taskbar position from the top of the screen to the bottom?
In particular, we need the ability to create a navigation bar positioned at the bottom of the screen, in dark grey color, where we can insert buttons such as:
• Home
• Back
• Forward
• additional custom buttons with dedicated URLs

Additionally, we would like to know if it is possible to add several additional buttons to the taskbar, including the use of custom icons for those buttons.
Since these changes would need to be applied across all 25 devices, we would appreciate confirmation on whether this is supported in SiteKiosk Classic and guidance on how it can be configured.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,
EVOLUTHA

Hello,

please note that SiteKiosk Classic is a legacy product (see details below).
For your specific requirements, we generally recommend using our current solution, which provides more advanced functionality and better long-term support.

However, it is still possible to implement your requested customizations through manual adjustments.
Detailed guidance and examples can be found in our Developer Blog at https://devblog.provisio.com/archive.aspx.

You can configure which buttons appear in the browser toolbar within the SiteKiosk configuration menu under Start Page & Browser > Customize > Browser Toolbar.

Important Notice Regarding Legacy Products
The software products SiteRemote, SiteCaster, and SiteKiosk Classic are classified as legacy products.
- SiteKiosk Classic will remain available as a standalone software solution. Support is limited to addressing critical bugs, and the SiteKiosk Classic Windows version typically receives approximately one to two updates annually for the Chromium browser engine.
Currently no official end-of-life date has been set.
- The SiteRemote.net service will be discontinued on December 31, 2025. Further information can be found at: https://www.siteremote.net.
- Self-hosted SiteRemote servers may continue to operate beyond December 31, 2025; however, no further product development will take place. Support for critical issues will be maintained until at least the end of 2027.

We recommend transitioning to the current product, SiteKiosk Online (https://www.sitekiosk.com/en/sitekiosk/), which offers centralized server-based configuration, flexible content management, and full server-side license administration.
